About WEI:
WEI/Bantwana Initiative is a Non-Governmental Organization that helps families and children orphaned and made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS to access the comprehensive support and care they need to grow into healthy adults.
About USAID Project:
The Bantwana Initiative of World Education is implementing the USAID’s Better Outcomes for Children and Youth in Eastern and Northern Uganda program—a $24.5 million program with a large sub grant component. The Program is being implemented across 13 districts in Eastern and Northern Uganda. Better Outcomes works with families, communities, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Local Government and the private sector to address the long-term, comprehensive needs of vulnerable children and families through improved OVC service delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support the Program Technical team in program implementation such as planning, running, and compiling reports for trainings, workshops, and meetings.
· Render support in scheduling and coordinating project implementation events
· Compile Program meetings minutes and assist in the documentation of activities.
· Render timely support in budget planning, monitoring, procurement, and management of program activities.
· Assist Program staff with administrative tasks
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate for the USAID Project Administrative Assistant vacancies should hold a University degree/ diploma qualification in relevant studies such as: Development Studies, Business Management etc.
· Three or more years of administrative/program work experience, particularly on donor-funded NGO projects.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams.
· Computer literacy skills i.e. Microsoft office packages
