Accountant Job in Athi River, Kenya

A company based in Athi River Nairobi, is looking for an Accountant Gender: Both.

Potential Job Responsibilities:

• The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general accounting activities with direct responsibility for maintaining G/L accounts, administering billing and collections, cash accounting and bank reconciliation.
• This position is responsible for daily import of lockbox and credit card charge backs, issuance of refunds and resolution to payment discrepancies.
• Will also produce a variety of accounting and financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Requirements:

• BS/BBA in Business Management, Finance or Accounting
• 1-3 years of general accounting experience in an accounting environment; will consider recent college graduates
• Knowledge of operational accounting processes, G/L structure and project level accounting
• Great Plains experience preferred
• Demonstrable advanced Excel and spreadsheet capabilities
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Flexible, well organized, able to work under tight deadlines

Salary: Net of 40,000ksh
