Export Processing Zones Authority is a State Corporation established by the Government of Kenya through an Act of Parliament – the Export Processing Zones Act (Cap 517 of the Laws of Kenya) for the promotion and facilitation of export oriented investment and for the development of an enabling environment for such investments.
The Authority seeks to recruit for the following position:
Human Resources Manager
Job Ref: EPZA/HR/01/2015
Key Responsibilities

• The HRM will head the HR department and shall report to the CEO for the following:
• Developing HR policies with emphasis on Training, Career Planning and Development
• Developing and implementing HR Management systems
• Reviewing and Monitoring HR Management Systems and policies
• Change management
• Ensuring computerization of HR management information and data for effective management and decision making process
• Leading staff-related support to all units and departments of the Authority including team building
• Handling employee relations inclusive of disputes

Qualification Requirements

• MBA, MSc or MA in Human Resource Management or its equivalent
• Degree in Human Resource Management or in any other discipline.
• Post graduate diploma or Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management or its accepted equivalent.
• Professional membership of IHRM (K) or its equivalent is mandatory
• Excellent skills in IT for processing information and communication
• Minimum 10 years progressive leadership experience at a senior HR management position, three (3) years experience in the public sector is preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good analytical and report-writing skills
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• A team player
• Great sense of initiative and creativity in carrying out assignments.
