BEST COURSES TO STUDY IN KENYA
Kenya has lots of opportunities both in government, NGOs and private sector but these opportunities go to very few individuals. It’s not a miracle to see an individual changing 10 jobs in 3 years while another graduate being jobless for the same period. All these depend on the course you pursued in
college and your level of competence.
If you intend to pursue a further education please consider one of the following courses:
FINANCE AND CFA/ACCA
Financial analysts, investment Analysts and Research Analysts are among the highest paid professionals in Kenya. The average salary for Investment Analyst is Ksh 150,000 per month. In addition, once someone has undergraduate degree in Finance and CFA qualification the idea of being jobless will be history.
Though pursuing Chartered Financial Analyst course is not an easy task passing even level 1 will give you leverage over others and enhance your chances of being rewarded handsomely.

MEDICINE
Medicine is a respected profession and one that needs passion. Kenya has a very small number of Doctors and our institutions produce less than the demand.
In order to be a qualified doctor you need 6 years in college and two to three years of practice.
Once you make a name money will chase you. As a doctor you don’t advertise your services but your work advertises you.
In Kenya the average salary of a doctor is Ksh 180,000 but this will vary depending on experience and the sector you are attached to.
Currently we don’t have jobless doctors.
LAW
This is another profession which requires sugar coated mouth, mental energy and experience to break even.
A lawyer spends 4 years in University and another one year in the Kenya School of Law.
In order for your services to be sought for you must first be attached to a law firm belonging to a prominent lawyer, gain experience and finally start your own law firm. Alternatively you can be employed by the government.
Due to the nature of their work lawyers are known to be the most brilliant brains in the country. It’s one that can jog your mind and eventually ensure that you can argue and win even a murder case.
Lawyers earn A LOT of MONEY! Infact, top lawyers in Nairobi like Cliff ombeta, Paul Muite and Ahmedinassir make a cool Ksh 15M per month.
Though we have few jobless trained lawyers no one should discourage you from pursuing the course.
CIVIL ENGINEERING/ARCHTECTURE
Though the Chinese have invaded this sector, still there are so many opportunities in Kenya.
These two courses are very rewarding thought they require someone keen to details and innovative.
It takes a cool 5 years to complete class work but once you are through, securing a job is not an uphill task.
