Business Development Executive
The Business Development Executive is charged with marketing and overseeing the delivery of a portfolio of degree and non-degree programs at KCA University.
The Business Development Executive will work with the Dean and heads of departments to identify faculty, external facilitators from the industry and programs that could be used to build the School of Business portfolio of executive and non executive programs, in addition to being responsive to other program opportunities as well.
The Business Development Executive will have responsibility for promoting the programs to individuals and corporate institutions.
These programs must be financially self-sufficient.
In addition, the programs are also expected to be of a high quality and to help build the reputation of KCA University.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To generate new business by actively targeting and introducing new clients.
To establish and maintain an active network tailored to meet and exceed revenue goals
To demonstrate an understanding of current and future trends in business and the concerns of executives
To manage the contracting process as liaison between client and the University for program opportunities.
To identify, call, meet with, and develop relationships with targeted companies, alumni contacts, government agencies, and other potential clients
To work with faculty and senior government officials to develop and provide programs or services that meet client needs.
Actively solicit for projects and/or respond to unsolicited projects by developing proposals that accurately represent the capabilities of the School of Business and meet the needs of the requesting organization.
Work with heads of departments and faculty to develop proposed curriculum for each program
To develop and maintain a database of current information on program leads, contacts, proposals, utilizing the ERP system
Identify, track and share relevant research and trends in the market.
Oversee the design, marketing, and delivery of all academic and non academic programs.
Prepare an annual budget and strategic plan for marketing activities in the School of Business.

Qualifications & Person Specifications
We are looking for a person with:
At least a master’s degree with a strong background in sales and marketing.
Whose self-driven and ambitious with ability to work for long hours with minimum supervision.
Ability to work independently and entrepreneurially to envision, create and implement successful programs.
Proven ability to interact effectively and credibly with a diversity of clients, senior government officials, faculty, and staff on the appropriate design, development, and delivery of programs.
Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
Excellent organizational and administrative skills and a track record of successful project management.
