Bongo Live Enterprises is a Mobile Technology & Digital advertising company based in Dar es Salaam (www.bongolive.co.tz). Bongo Live was also recently named a Forbes Africa top 20 technology startup company.
Seeking a talented, enthusiastic and flexible developer to lead development of innovative new mobile and web products. Responsible for design, development, coding, testing, debugging, documenting & supporting new and existing products.

Other requirements:

• 5+ year of experience in a software development or technical role
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Hands On software development experience
• Familiar with software development lifecycle,
• Read and understand API documents and learn quickly to implement
• Communicate well and document work
• Work independently and flexibly beyond job description
• Ability to develop quick prototypes
• Take ownership of projects and lead & supervise junior developers
• Location – Dar es Salaam

Technical Requirements:

• Strong JAVA, PHP, HTML, CSS abilities
•  Frameworks – Smarty, CodeIgniter, WordPress,
•  MySQL, Oracle DB experience
•  Integration experience with HTTP, XML, SOAP, JSON and other APIs
• Experience working with Kannel & SMPP Protocols a must
•  Experience with system administration on Linux servers including cloud platforms (AWS, Rackspace etc) is a plus
• Experience with Android application development a plus
