Ruiru – Juja Water and Sewerage Company (RUJWASCO) is a Water Services Provider that provides
water and sewerage services in Ruiru and Juja Constituencies in the Kiambu County.
The Company is seeking to fill the position of the Technical Manager.

Overall Responsibility: Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for, among other things:

Key Tasks:
Directing, coordinating and managing the company’s operations and maintenance of infrastructure to ensure that water and sewerage services are provided to the required standards.
Develop a customer focus to the provision of services by performing and maintaining good working relationship with customers.
Manage all major and minor construction works, either by using external consultants and internal resources.
Ensuring proper management of company assets such as plants and machinery through effective maintenance and repairs so as to maximize the return on investment.
Develop departmental strategies, policies, and plans to facilitate achievement of overall company objectives.
Be responsible for the development of departmental staff by ensuring that they are properly trained and motivated.
Educational and Professional

Qualifications:
A Bachelor degree in Civil/Water Engineering from a recognized University and be a registered engineer.
Nine years working experience in water and sewerage operations with at least five years at senior management.
Demonstrated project management skills and hands-on experience of managing consultants and contractors.
Be self-driven and motivated with a high need for achievement.
Be people oriented and have demonstrated good leadership qualities.
Remuneration will be negotiable and market based.
