Mukuru Slums Development ProjectPosition: Accountant / Administrator


Job Purpose:
To work towards the vision and mission of MSDP
To be responsible for the financial and administrative activities of MSDP
To ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and accounted for
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial and cash flow management.
Design and implement internal control systems.
Responsible for the overall set financial policies and procedures
Timely financial reports to the Program Coordinator, Board of Directors, Donors and other stakeholders.
Ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and that all financial records are properly kept
Liaise regularly with budget holders and donors
Ensure the organization is meeting the legal administrative requirements of an NGO
Oversee Procurement
Carry out administrative aspects of MSDP as spelt out in the job profile.
Job Specification:
A Bachelors Degree in commerce (Accounting option) or equivalent from a recognized university
CPA K
At least two years experience in professional accounting, financial consulting, auditing, or donor funded agencies.
Excellent computer skills including knowledge in accounting software and MS Office
Experience and knowledge of Accounting Packages
Honesty and Integrity
Excellent Training skills
Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills How to Apply
