Job Description

Main Accountabilities

· Carries out health and safety risk assessments and develops action plans to mitigate arising risks.

· Develops safe operating procedures, safe work instructions and practices.

· Develops training programmes and carries out safety trainings for employees.

· Carries out Health and Safety system verification audits.

· Evaluates Health and Safety implications for new projects.

· Carries out Health and Safety Incident Investigations, makes reccomendations and shares learnings.

· Develops company emergency and response procedures.

· Operationalises new legislations related to Health and safety.

· Collates and monitors Health Safety and Environment Key Performance withinUnilever Tea and to the region for management decisions.

· Reports Health Safety and Environment performance within Unilever Tea and to the region for management decisions.

Qualifications

· Graduate in Food Science, Production Technology, Agricultural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science, Environmental Science, Agriculture or any other related field.

· Minimum 2 years experience in a related field.

· Prior Unilever experience will be an added advantage.
