Group Auditor
The Audit function helps Vivo Energy in the achievement of its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the Vivo Energy Control Framework in various aspects including risk management practices.
The Group Auditor will be responsible for:
• Applying experience and judgment in execution of audit programs.
• Assessing results to provide assurance and/or identifying issues and making recommendations.
• Leading audit teams as lead auditors and ensuring that Institute of Internal Audit requirements are followed through proper independent reviews of work done by auditors during fieldwork.
• Developing compliance checklists to strengthen Vivo Energy control framework.
• Developing parts of audit programs assigned to them, working as part of a team.

• Ability to withstand and deliver on targets in a high pressure environment with significant competing priorities and urgent deadlines.
Finance Controller
Vivo Energy Kenya is looking to recruit a dynamic and passionate Finance Controller who will be responsible for ensuring that a robust and fit for purpose business and financial control framework is in place and that internal and external governance requirements are met.
The Finance Controller will be responsible for:
• Ensuring provision of relevant timely financial and management information to COB/COS, central team through shareholder reporting in accordance with local regulations, international accounting standards and Vivo Energy Group accounting guidelines.
• Advising the business on the financial impact of decisions made through the provision of profitability analysis, monthly margins and cost variance analysis.
• Advising class of markets managers on fit for purpose business controls and ensuring that internal and external audit points and any business control incidents are followed up and closed.
• Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are owned, reconciled monthly and all reconciling items promptly cleared.
The Company has identified the following areas of experience and capabilities that are required by the individual:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline from a recognized university.
• A professional accounting qualification is desirable.
• Minimum 10 years experience (in various accounting areas including financial reporting and management accounting, treasury, stocks accounting, tax and audit.).
• Knowledge and experience of working with integrated accounting systems and Microsoft packages.
• Good understanding of local, custom and excise duties, VAT, withholding and corporate tax laws.
