Human Resource Business Partner-Support Services
Reporting to the Group Human Resource Manager, the HR Business Partner  will be responsible for the planning, directing and coordinating Human Resource Management activities for support departments (ICT, Internal Audit, Risk, Legal, HR, Group Finance, Administration, Marketing and Procurement) at Britam. This role will also serve as the HRBP for Project Jawabu SPOCs. 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans, directs, supervises and interprets human resources policies and procedures for support departments.
  • Advises on day to day employee relation issues and on programs for involvement, team building, empowerment and communication. Also responsible for other HR activities like equal employment opportunity, disciplinary procedures, dress code, sexual harassment and discrimination.
  • In liaison with the respective support leaders and Group HR Manager, prepare forecasts of Human Resources requirements and plans.  
  • Administer staff recruitment and orientation process for the various support functions.
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Ingrain the performance management culture by embedding the balanced scorecard and ensuring manager and staff understanding of the performance process to effectively link compensation and reward to performance.
  • Identify training needs, participate in development of programmes and schedules and oversee execution as well as analyze application of training and return of investment to the business.
  • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.
  • Implement Human Resources policies and procedures that guide business operations 
  • Administers staff benefit schemes, including Group Medical, Personal Accident Group Pension and Group life insurance schemes.
  • Ensures the maintenance of up-to-date staff records and files 
  • Prepare monthly reports


KEY QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources or related discipline
  • Diploma in HR Management, Organizational Development or related areas
  • A minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in human resources management 
  • Good team player with excellent organizational, planning and multitasking skills
  • Highly developed MS Office proficiency
