Job Opportunities: Business Development Manager Our Client a fast growing and influential creative hub in is seeking to recruit results oriented and experienced managers who will be responsible for implementing the organisations long term strategy, build institutional capacity and systems while building upon the existing programs, clients and donors base.


Role description and responsibilities

Create and implement the hubs annual business development plan and strategy
Lead and manage the Creative hubs overall business development efforts to raise an annual budget of 1-2 Million dollars
Train and lead other staff to support fundraising and marketing efforts
Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential corporate & foundation sponsors, government and individual donors
Manage any annual sponsorship programs that the creative hub runs
Write grant proposals and reports to local and international corporate, foundations, and government funders
Develop and grow the individual donor base
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and public relations strategy
Manage the marketing, brand building , PR and communication activities locally and internationally
Manage the creative hubs public events for maximum impact
Package, Market and aggressively Sell the creative hubs Profit making initiatives (technical media assets, event spaces and art based services ) to Corporate, development and government clients
Carry out new Product development for the creative hub around its mission of “arts and media for social change”
Qualifications:
Relevant degree in Business or development studies
Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and/or a quota of over $1M annually
Proven management and leadership capabilities
Experience working with Senior Level executives in a corporate environment
High energy, positive, “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail; high degree of initiative.
Strong verbal communications skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and thorough understanding of strategic development
Demonstrated ability to prospect, cultivate, and manage new accounts
Strong partnership-building and event planning skills
Thorough understanding of all components of a diversified funding and client base
Good computer skills and knowledge of data base programs
Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills; excellent oral communication and ability to participate in public speaking events.
Ability to develop and manage budgets and prepare financial reports.
Computer literacy, with experience with fundraising databases preferred.
Interest, enthusiasm, and affinity for fundraising and working with people.
Experience
At least 5 years of non profit fundraising/development experience, preferably with significant foundation and high donor fundraising experience.
Direct sales or business development experience in a service industry or with a non-profit; emphasis on corporate sponsorships or corporate sales is a plus
