Vacancies in an International Engineering and Infrastructure Firm: Our client, a leading engineering company involved in numerous infrastructure development projects in water & environment; buildings & industrial structures; power transmission projects and mining, among other physical infrastructure installations, has contracted Parker Randall EA Ltd to oversee the recruitment of dynamic, experienced and self-motivated individuals with excellent leadership skills, who will form the core team that will deliver on their strategic intent and business in Africa.
We seek a competent individual for the following position:-
Manager – Business Development and Projects
Position (1)
Location – Nairobi with frequent travel across Africa
Job Summary: Deliver effective business development and project management services for business initiatives and clients as well as managing the existing businesses and projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
Business Development by acquiring new business through looking out for tenders; arranging meetings for potential business deals and prospecting future business.
Liaison with the relevant Government Ministries and private organisations to secure key infrastructure projects.
Ensure retention of existing clients through effective client relationship management.
Oversee the execution and implementation of key projects including water & environment; buildings & industrial structures; power transmission projects and mining.
Promote the engineering and design side of the business, as well as environment safety and quality.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or any related field.
MBA Marketing.
6 – 8 years of experience in a Business Development/Sales & Marketing Engineering role.
Must be aged between 30 – 35 years.
Skills and Competencies
Excellent marketing, sales prospecting and relationship building skills
Ability to think strategically and passionate about driving the business to implement targets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and manage results-oriented teams
Excellent negotiation skills
